Venus in Libra and The Scorpio Solar Eclipse

Venus has entered charming Libra!  With Venus in an air sign, we are given the opportunity to express ourselves through communication and intellectual stimulation. With Venus being in its own sign (Libra is ruled by Venus) There will be extra focus on on beauty, maintaining balance and our most intimate one-on-one relationships. The past few months have been rocky for many of us. Venus in Libra will assist us in finding both the peace and harmony that we are so desperately craving.

November will be a busy month with not just one, but two Eclipses. The first will be a Solar Eclipse on November 13th in Scorpio at 21 Degrees. Solar Eclipses are basically New Moons on steroids! Be prepared for some big time changes and endings during this time. New Moons are all about ushering in beginnings and the opportunity to start anew. Not only is this a Solar Eclipse it is also a Super Moon. Super Moons occur when the Moon is closest to the earth (This is called perigee) and parallel to both our Earth and Sun (This is called Syzygy).

With this Eclipse being in the element of water, and Scorpio to boot,  we’ll be forced to come to terms with some powerful feelings that we have buried. Scorpio tends to brood and deeply bury emotions, so this will be the perfect opportunity to release heavy/negative energy that has been stifling us and preventing us from moving forward. Scorpion energy also craves some form of deep, emotional connection so don’t be surprised if sexual and emotional needs intensify!  The Asteroid Ceres ( @ 3 Degrees Cancer) opposes Pluto in Capricorn encouraging us to let go (We really need to do this) In Greek Mythology Ceres’ daughter Persephone was kidnapped by Pluto creating feelings of loss and and grief. There may be deep feelings of loss and abandonment, but know this is all a part of the healing and purging process. Ceres also forms a Trine to the Chiron/Neptune conjunction in Pisces encouraging healing (Chiron) through spiritual (Neptune) and creative practices. All of us can benefit from some form of artistic expression during this time such as writing, Painting, dancing—whatever works for you. This Eclipse is quite watery in nature, with not Just the Sun/Moon in water (Scorpio) but the North Node, Saturn (Scorpio) The Asteroids Ceres (Cancer), Pallas (Pisces) and Neptune/Chiron (Pisces) in water as well.

Water symbolizes healing, sensitivity and empathy.  While this may be an emotional time for many of us, this New Moon/Super Moon will allow us to get in touch with our own personal psychic sensitivity and encourage cleansing and purification.

Healing Stones For Scorpio

• Moldavite – Works on the third-eye and the throat chakra. Scorpio’s tend to have psychic abilities (And curious dreams) as well as deeply buried emotions. This stone can assist in healing and releasing.
• Moonstone – Moonstone relates to new beginnings and is a balancing, reflective stone. It can also be used to cleanse negativity from the chakras and alleviate tension.
• Charoite – Is wonderful for letting go and vibrates to the number 7 which a powerful healing number.
